Community Standards

Gather is for adults (18+) who want to build and do things together. These rules are part of our Terms of Service.

• Be real. Use your real first name and honest skills. No fake accounts or impersonation.
• Be respectful. No harassment, threats, hate speech, doxxing, or insulting anyone's religion.
• Not for dating. No sexual content or advances.
• Adults only, nothing involving minors. No kids' or youth activities, schools, babysitting, tutoring children or meetups with children present, and don't ask anyone their age or school or invite them to bring a child. Signs of child exploitation lead to an immediate ban and a report to NCMEC and the police.
• No scams or spam. Don't ask members for money, investments or personal financial details, and don't send unapproved bulk messages.
• Keep it legal. No illegal content, violence or self-harm promotion, and don't post other people's private information or copyrighted work without permission.
• Low-risk activities only. Crews are for projects, learning, creative work, community and casual meetups. No weapons, hunting, combat or high-risk sports, professional medical, legal or financial advice groups, overnight trips, or first meetups at someone's home.

Report and block are on every message and member, and you can report profiles, crews, groups and spots too. You can also email contact@gatherspace.app. A person reviews every report, and we aim to act within 24 hours for child safety and threats and within 72 hours for everything else. Depending on how serious it is, we may warn you, remove content, remove you from a crew, or suspend or ban your account. To appeal, email contact@gatherspace.app with the subject “Appeal” within 30 days. Never share personal info or send money to anyone on Gather. In crisis? Call or text 988 (US).
